Israel civil defense

In Iran on May 25, 2010 at 1:30 pm

Why has none of the main stream media followed Israel on their week of national civil defense drills?  Why when a country such as Israel preps for war is this not noticed by our national papers or news network?

Will Iran get Russian missiles for defense?  Defense against whom, the United States, hardly.  Israel will have to go it alone.  When they finally do choose to defend themselves against Iranian aggression, or at least threats to their well being.  Syria will probably join the attack.  Will Lebanon?

Civil Defense, once again Israel finds itself having to prepare for a war that they didn’t choose, but will be required to finish.  Lets hope the worlds markets are prepared for some oil spikes, worlds markets in disarray, and general confusion.

Exceptionalism and Obama

In Uncategorized on May 23, 2010 at 5:14 pm

“I believe in American exceptionalism, just as I suspect that the Brits believe in British exceptionalism and the Greeks believe in Greek exceptionalism. I’m enormously proud of my country and its role and history in the world. If you think about the site of this summit and what it means, I don’t think America should be embarrassed to see evidence of the sacrifices of our troops, the enormous amount of resources that were put into Europe postwar, and our leadership in crafting an Alliance that ultimately led to the unification of Europe. We should take great pride in that.
And if you think of our current situation, the United States remains the largest economy in the world. We have unmatched military capability. And I think that we have a core set of values that are enshrined in our Constitution, in our body of law, in our democratic practices, in our belief in free speech and equality, that, though imperfect, are exceptional.
Now, the fact that I am very proud of my country and I think that we’ve got a whole lot to offer the world does not lessen my interest in recognizing the value and wonderful qualities of other countries, or recognizing that we’re not always going to be right, or that other people may have good ideas, or that in order for us to work collectively, all parties have to compromise and that includes us.
And so I see no contradiction between believing that America has a continued extraordinary role in leading the world towards peace and prosperity and recognizing that that leadership is incumbent, depends on, our ability to create partnerships because we create partnerships because we can’t solve these problems alone”.

Whats wrong with just loving and finding America as the best.  Why does the President of the United States feel the need to remind us that the Greeks see them selves as exceptional?  Could it be our debt is now approaching their problems.  The Brits abdicated that position with they ran to us for help in World War II. This does not diminish their position in the world, belief in themselves or reduce British Pride.  It just set a time when they were not capable of taking care of themselves.
Lets hope President Obama policies don’t put us in the same position.

If you can think of anything you feel makes American’s Exceptional please post them here.

Remove Arlen Spector from office in 2010

In Uncategorized, Wizard on May 15, 2010 at 2:15 pm

Tuesday is the day Pennsylvania, it’s time to remove Arlen Spector from the United States Senate.  At eighty years old lets give the old guy a break and help save the nation more irrational politics and remove him from office.

Even if you disagree with George Bush, Barack Obama, Nancy Pelosi or Harry Reid all of them had something Senator Spector did not, a clear understanding of their own beliefs.  Trying to vote the swings in the polls has never worked.

Doesn’t matter which side of the political debate you choose to stand on, this is your chance to vote out a single irrational vote.

Don’t reelect Arlen Spector to office in 2010.

Say no more!

New York Terriorist? 5/1/2010

In Terrorists, Uncategorized on May 2, 2010 at 1:21 pm

“A suicidal Pace University student sparked a terror scare early yesterday when he was found wandering in a subway tunnel beneath the East River.

Aaron Fetto, 20 — wearing an orange reflector vest and other transit-worker gear and carrying a quart-size bottle of cyanide tablets — told cops he was looking for an “isolated place in the subway system” to kill himself.

Transit workers found him on the track for the 4 train between Brooklyn and lower Manhattan at 5:30 a.m., police sources said. ” According to John Doyle of the New York Post 5/1/2010

The next days paper then added,

An unidentified T-shirt vendor, who is a Vietnam veteran, saw smoke billowing from a Nissan Pathfinder and alerted Police Officer Wayne Rhatigan, a mounted patrol cop, who looked inside the smoldering vehicle at around 6:30 p.m. on West 45th Street near Seventh Avenue in front of an entrance to the Minskoff Theatre , which houses the hugely popular Disney musical, Mayor Bloomberg said early this morning.

Why didn’t the NY Post or any other paper put these two events together?  The closing of the Subway by cyanide then blowing up times square on a Saturday night sounds like we are now  under a terrorist threat that is being covered up by someone. The cyanide suicide doesn’t make any scense because, why would you get gear and hike to a location to not be discovered to kill yourself?  The car bomb was discovered by a vigilant citizen of our country, not by security details.  Where is the homeland security department?  Where is President Obama?  Who are we fighting here and why is no credible new agency putting all this together?  May 1, 2010 could have been September 11, 2001 all over again in NYC.  Fear?  Ignoring what is happening won’t change that we just avoided another huge round of disasters.
