Obama Double Speak in Japan

“Our goal remains the same, and that’s to provide for the defense of Japan with minimal intrusion on the lives of the people who share the space, and I have to say that I am extraordinarily proud and grateful for the men and women in uniform from the United States who help us to honour our obligations to the alliance and our treaties.”

“Let me first of all insist that the United States and Japan are equal partners. We have been and we will continue to be … That’s reflected in the Japan-U.S. alliance. It will be reflected in the resolution of the base realignment issues related to Futenma (Marine base).

These two Obama Quotes of the day show how President Obama doesn’t really understand the power of the United States of America, which he is President.  No two powers are equal when one is charged with the defense of the other at it’s own expense.  It is the tax payers of America that are promising to defend Japan.  Does that make them bad or less?  No, but not equal.  As the last remaining super power it is important that we not allow ourselves to forget that it is American strength through our military size and abilities that make us strongest.

If our President chooses to either tie the hands or our military, as he is doing in Afghanistan or promise to put us under control of the United Nations, we are weakened.
